Weapons and Vehicles

 

The group currently possess a number of weapons for use in their living history displays and battle re-enactments. We will hopefully be adding an MG34 and Panzerfausts to this list shortly. We also have access to a Kubelwagon via one of our members.

The standard issue rifle to the german soldier is in fact a carbine. Firing the standard 7.92mm round this bolt action rifle had a capacity to hold 5 rounds in its internal magazine. Powerful, yet accurate.

The standard machine gun for the infantry squad since 1942. Arguably the best machine gun of the war, it could be fired in light or heavy machine gun mode with the aid of a tripod.

This sub-machine gun is the definative german weapon of the war. Replacing the MP38, this maschinen-pistole as it was known, was used mainly by NCO's and Officers.

Kubelwagon

Nick-named the 'bucket' car, this was the standard military car used throughout the war.
